Adding a gratuity

  • Updated

At the end of a transaction, a customer may choose to provide a gratuity (tip) when paying via a Stripe EMV reader. This functionality is enabled by default when an EMV reader is connected. Tipping via EMV readers in FareHarbor Desk offers an easy way to show appreciation for great service while increasing concierge and agent earnings.

Overview

Tipping functionality is automatically included when an EMV reader is connected to FareHarbor Desk. Tips are collected via the EMV reader and are accessible in the Fareharbor Desk Dashboard. Tipping is linked with payments in the Desk Dashboard. The tip amount is included at the time of payment and available for refunds and reporting.

Note: Tip values are predefined and cannot be modified. Tip options are 10%, 15%, and 20%.
