White label desks

  • Updated

The White label feature in FareHarbor Desk enables reseller partners to securely access Desk while maintaining clear separation from the parent company’s data. It allows White Label companies to create, manage, and report on their own bookings without exposing broader company information. This approach reduces manual workarounds and supports more efficient, controlled operations within a shared system.

Overview

When a desk is configured as a white label desk, records created from that desk inherit the same white label association. This applies to clients and vouchers.

This association keeps records tied to the correct brand and helps prevent cross-brand data access or updates.

Creating a white label desk

White label is applied at the desk level.

To create a white label desk:

  1. Navigate to Manage
  2. Select Desks
  3. Create a new desk.
  4. Check the White label desk box.
  5. Click Create at the bottom of the desk creation form.

Note: White label cannot be enabled for existing desks, only new desks.

When this option is enabled, the desk is treated as a reseller desk with custom branding and contact details. Items created in that desk are tagged as white label.

Managing white label users

Desk access is restricted at the user level. To restrict user access to a specific white label desk, edit the Desk access in the user’s settings.

When a user is restricted to a white label desk, they will only see data tied to that desk. Restricted users cannot freely access or report on desks that are not assigned to them.

In addition to desk access, selecting the correct user role is important to maintaining the correct data access permissions for white label desks. User roles are defined by the Role dropdown in the Users settings.

A Manager user role is the best fit for white label users who need operational and reporting access without broader company administration permissions.

Managers can:

  • View white label operational reports
  • View white label financial reports
  • Manage payment devices

Managers do not have access to:

  • Full company administration
  • General user management
  • Broad accounting permissions
  • Standard company-wide financial oversight available to Administrators

More information on desk restrictions can be found on the Desk restrictions help page.
